Looking tough while saying I love you. ❤️💪😂 We finally got to go outside! ☀️

Wesley is now in the Brain Injury rehab and will be in there for 2-3 weeks. We spoke to a lawyer today and they plan on going after the girl that failed to yield as well as the tow truck that told her to pull out. Wesley’s is doing really well, but he does have to re-learn everyday tasks and he does have some memory loss/confusion. I think with each day it’s going to get better and better just like it has been. The visiting hours in this facility are strict. He is in the Sticht building at Baptist Hospital and can be visited between 4-8 Mon-Fri and 2-8 on Sat and 10:30- 8 on weekends. I can no longer stay with him around the clock like I have been so tonight’s going to be very hard for the both of us. I’m really bummed out about it so hopefully being back with my dog Danzig will help. 😥

Thanks again everything! I’m amazed at all the donations from people I know and strangers! ❤️❤️❤️ (at Sticht Center)

2 things:

-Wesley Hoke did not sleep walk last night!
- Wesley got into the rehab program!! He will be going later today!

Today is the last day in this room and then visiting is limited over there. He is very sad I can’t stay with him anymore. So no more me passed out with my mouth open! 😂 He is however very excited to start getting up and moving around more! All he asks for now is to get up and walk around. Thank you guys for everything once again! Thank you for ordering the badass tees @high_on_fireflies came up with for #deathscience @death_science and thank you for contributing to the #gofundme account @brannonccmw started! Thank you for the awesome comments!! He still has double vision and it should hopefully fix itself! Once it does he will be blown away by all the support! #fuckcars forever!! ❤️❤️❤️ (at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center)

Wesley leaned toward me and head butted me. I said, “Hey you have a brain injury.” He responded by saying, “Head injury for you.” And he kissed my forehead. ❤️❤️❤️

Wesley is progressing more and more each day. He is standing up better, walking more, and doing small tasks like brushing his teeth, feeding himself, and pouring his own drink. He still shows a lot of symptoms from his brain injury, but time will help him overcome them. He still had double vision, but the MRI showed his brain injury does not relate to that and it crossed out any chance of him having a stroke. His biggest struggle right now is he sleep walks at night. Climbing the bed, pushing me, pushing nurses, punched our favorite nurse in the stomach! He does this at home, but never gets up! I think lack of sleep and anxiety are amping the situation. Once he wakes up he explains his dream and apologizes. It’s really scary because he is at a high risk of hurting himself more. They are trying Benadryl tonight to see if that will help him sleep through the night. Wish us luck!! Soon he will be in the brain injury rehab program and then home. He misses home a lot and our dog Danzig who I miss too! Thank you guys for all the support! I can’t wait until he can read all of the comments and posts! #deathscience #fuckcars @death_science @show_class_mag (at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center)

He dances! Walking and talking about 90s rap. He is doing so well! Just taking Tylenol for pain! He currently has double vision and they can hopefully figure that out. He will be in the rehab any day now and then home hopefully in a month…we shall see! #deathscience #fuckcars #recovery @death_science @show_class_mag (at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center)

Here is a funny photo of Wesley being a good sport and wearing a bunch of stuff I thrifted! This funny photo comes with some good news…

Wesley is out of icu and in his own room. He was able to beat the pneumonia and get the breathing tube out. He is responding well after about 30 mins of being up straight. At first he is in a fog, very confused and ready to get up and walk which is very dangerous right now on his own. He is doing well with physical therapy but not stable enough to walk on his own because he is wobbly. This is partially due to medication and to head injury. They plan on putting him in the brain injury rehab to help him get use to doing daily functions again. It’s hours of intense training unlike the 30 mins he gets now every other day. He doesn’t remember the accident, but he is remembering why he is in the hospital, the month, the day, the year, and other things I’ve quizzed him on. He is progressing well but he still has a very long road ahead for him and I won’t be leaving his side. Thank each and everyone of you for your donations. It will put so much ease on Wesley’s mind once he understands it all and it will help me be able to be with him everyday as he recovers. We will forever be in debited to what everyone has done for us. Thank you so very much!! Thank for buying all the Tees and thank you for the gofundme donations!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Also he has his cell phone and was able to text a few of you lastnight when he was in the right state of mind. Feel free to blow him up with texts or funny photos. 336.782.1494

Why are selfies so acceptable and not seen as a person being conceded wanting compliments to confirm that they think they look good in the photo??

I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy

because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless

and they don’t want anyone else to feel like that.
